Hiccups!

Louis Mouse sneaked up behind his sister Mary mouse to startle her and yelled, “Boo!” Ever since that incident Mary has been having hiccups!  She tried all the tricks to get rid of her hiccups. She ate sugar, drank lots of water and ever tried to hold breath for a long Time. But nothing worked.  Mary then went to her friend, Ben the squirrel.  “Ben... HIC... I have HIC... hiccups!” “I noticed,” said Ben. “Why don’t you stand on your head? That always worked for me!”

And so, poor Mary stood on her head. But she kept falling every time she had hiccups! Theodore the frog saw Mary and told her to hop about patting her tummy. “That will work, Mary!” said Theodore. But nothing worked for Mary. Mary walked back home worried. “What if... HIC.... never get cured?” Just then, Louis sneaked up again and frightened Mary. She was very angry. “Louis! How many timed do I...” Mary realised that Louis had just cured her of her hiccups.  They happily jumped back home happily.
