Mastering the Art of Habit Change: An In-Depth Review of James Clear's Atomic Habits

Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones is a book written by James Clear. The book focuses on the idea that small changes in behavior can lead to big results over time. Clear argues that the key to achieving success and making meaningful progress in any area of life is to focus on building small, consistent habits that are easy to maintain.

In Atomic Habits, Clear outlines a four-step process for creating new habits and breaking old ones. The first step is to make your habits obvious, which means making it easy to remember to do them. The second step is to make your habits attractive, which means finding ways to make them more appealing. The third step is to make your habits easy, which means making them as simple and effortless as possible. The fourth step is to make your habits satisfying, which means finding ways to make them rewarding.

Clear argues that the key to success is not to try and change everything at once, but rather to focus on making small, incremental changes that will lead to bigger changes over time. He uses the metaphor of "atomic habits," which are small, consistent changes that when added together can lead to significant progress.

Clear also provides strategies for overcoming common obstacles to building new habits, such as procrastination, lack of motivation, and the tendency to give up too easily. He argues that the key to overcoming these obstacles is to focus on making the new habit as easy and appealing as possible, and to find ways to make it rewarding.

One of the key takeaways from the book is the importance of creating a system for tracking and measuring your progress. Clear stresses the importance of setting clear, measurable goals and tracking your progress towards achieving them. He argues that this helps to keep you accountable, and it allows you to see how far you've come, which can be a powerful motivator.

Overall, Atomic Habits is a practical, easy-to-read guide that provides a clear framework for creating new habits and breaking old ones. Clear's ideas are backed by scientific research and real-world examples, and the book is filled with practical strategies and tips that anyone can use to make meaningful progress in any area of life. If you're looking to build better habits and make real change in your life, Atomic Habits is definitely worth reading.

A Rain drop ~ Swami Vivekananda

*Beautiful explanation by Swami Vivekananda*:
Explaining the meaning of ‘Association’ he said:..“A rain drop from the sky: if it is caught by clean hands, is pure enough for drinking. If it falls in the gutter, its value drops so much that it can’t be used even for washing your feet. If it falls on a hot surface, it will evaporate... If it falls on a lotus leaf, it shines like a pearl and finally, if it falls on an oyster, it becomes a pearl...The drop is the same, but its existence & worth depends on whom it is associated with.”...Always be associated with people who are good at heart..You will experience your own inner transformation"...
Send this to all people with a beautiful heart whom you wish to be associated with....

I just did 👍

Die empty ~ Todd Henry

*Die empty*

The Most Beautiful Book to read is
"Die Empty",
 by Todd Henry.

The Author was inspired and got this idea of writing this book while attending a business meeting.

When the Director asked the Audience :

"Where is the richest land in the world ?"

One of the audience answered:

"Oil-rich Gulf states."

Another added :

 "Diamond mines in Africa."

Then the Director said :

"No it is the Cemetery.

Yes,
it is the richest land in the world, because millions of people have departed/died and they carried many valuable ideas that did not come to light nor benefit others.

It is all in the cemetery where they are buried."

Inspired by this answer, Todd Henry wrote his book,
"Die empty .

The most beautiful of what he said in his book is:

"Do not go to your grave and carry inside you the best that you have.

Always choose to die empty.

The TRUE meaning of this  expression, is to die empty, of all the goodness that is within you.

Deliver it to the world, before you leave.

If you have an idea perform it.

If you have knowledge give it out.

If you have a goal achieve it.

Love, share and distribute, do not keep it inside.

Let’s begin to give.

Remove and spread every atom of goodness inside us.

Start the Race.

*Let us Die Empty.*

Importance of Carrot for Kids

  1. Enhances healthy cell growth: Rich in iron, a whole range of vitamins, magnesium, and a whole lot of other minerals, carrots have the ability to regulate cell growth; ensure they’re controlled and checked and at the same time expedite their growth to assist the body during injuries/diseases.
  2. Bolsters Liver Functioning: Rich in plant-flavonoids and beta-carotene, carrots help improve the overall functioning of the liver. The vitamin A in carrots cleanse the liver which often becomes an easy victim for toxins collected through food or beverages.
  3. Improves Blood Circulation: Healthy blood circulation is not just about transporting oxygen through the heart and blood vessels but also about flushing out all the toxins off the body through the kidneys. The flavonoids in the carrots keep the circulation system in place.
  4. Improves Eye-sight: Vitamin A and beta-carotene in carrots are responsible for the growth and maintenance of the retina. Your baby will enjoy clear and sharp vision!
  5. Boosts Immunity: You can let your little one roam around on the grass or mud, without getting stressed about illnesses, if carrots are a big part of your baby’s diet. Carrots increase the number of blood platelets and lymphocytes, which play a vital role in strengthening the immune system. Let your baby be a baby.

We just have today

Recent 3 incidents which have shaken us & made us rethink where we are moving.

1. Man, who was owner of Rs 12000 crores empire *Raymonds* is now living in rented room on hand to mouth basis because his Son has shown him the Exit door.

2. A Billionaire Woman who died in her posh Flat in Mumbai , her body discovered a year later which had became skelton in one year and her millionaire son did not even bother to know about her, in the last one year.

3. An IAS level officer committed suicide because he was unable to cope up with the stress of his family issues.

Whatever you have in your life *TODAY*, please be happy with that.

Michael Schumacher, one of the greatest drivers of Formula 1, is forgotten and fighting for his life after a ski accident in 2013 when he sustained severe head injuries! He weighs a mere 40lbs today and is fighting for his life daily.

To think... he won 91 GP and was 7 (seven) times world champion. The speed was in his soul but on a day of relaxation in a ski resort, fate intervened and his life changed forever!

To-date, his medical bill is around 14million Euros

wife had to sell his properties to pay the medical expenses.

His tragedy could be a lesson in life for all of us. There is nothing permanent in this *short sojourn on earth*. Why bicker about race and religion when we all end up as skulls and skeletons without a difference!

You need money to survive but you need not be consumed by it.

Do not be unkind to yourself by saying you will enjoy tomorrow as tomorrow may never come.

Do not give excuses to have a good time with  family and friends. For in the end, only they matter.

All we have today is *today's time*. Let's do good & learn to live a *contented life*!

Have no grudges with any body,

we just have today..

Happy family

There’s a bakery shop near to our house. Often, on my way back home in the evening, I buy some stuff for the morning breakfast. Today, as I was about to leave the bakery, I met our neighbour Mr. Ajay who himself was leaving the same shop. After the exchange of some traditional greetings, the conversation went like following.

I asked: “What have you bought?”

Ajay replied: “Nothing much , just some  patties and some sweet cake for my wife and children”.

Jokingly, I enquired, “Why so? Hasn't your wife cooked today?”

He said: “No, it’s not like that. Actually today in office we were a little hungry so my colleagues ordered some patties and sweet cakes Since, I had this at the office I thought to buy some for my family too. It’s not fair that I eat whatever I like at the office while my kids and wife remain bound to eat whatever is cooked at home.”

Confounded with great surprise, I stared at him because I never thought this way before.

I said: “What’s the big deal, ajay?  If you eat food of your own choice at the office, your wife and children would also be having whatever they like to eat at home.”

Ajay replied: “Not at all,  My wife saves for me from everything there is. Even if someone from neighborhood sends something, my wife first saves some for me and then distributes it among my kids. It would be very selfish if I just enjoy good things with my friends and not with my family.”

Amazed upon hearing this I said: “Enjoying? This bakery stuff is what you think is enjoyment?”

He said: “Whatever ! I dread the time when on the Day of Resurrection I’ll be questioned about this. That I took someone’s daughter into marriage and had fun with my friends while she ate whatever little was available.”

Completely stunned, I couldn’t move my eyes off him while he continued.

“Look, when we get married to someone’s sister or daughter, they are human beings as well. Just like us. They too have hunger needs. They have their desires as well. They too wish to taste lots of delicious foods or foods of their choice, to try different kinds of lovely outfits. They also want to move and travel around. Keeping them caged like a bird, providing them meals twice a day and having a sense of smugness for doing all this is selfishness. And the way we treat the daughters of others is the way our own daughters and sisters will be treated because what goes around comes around.”

His last words shook me to a great degree. I never thought like this before.  Concluding the conversation with Ajay I said, “Great! You have made me think from a different perspective.”

I turned back to the shop.

Ajay: “Where are you going?”

I replied, “To buy some ice-cream…actually I had some ice-cream at the office today.”

Ajay and Myself took their respective paths. Ajay was glad to have a positive impact on me. On the other hand, I now, knew how to keep my wife and kids happy and acknowledge all the efforts my wife does for my happiness.

Wives are what makes life beautiful!

No wonder they are called the better half

Your time will come - Never give up

Time Will Come !

New Delhi is 3 hrs ahead of Europe but it does not mean that Europe is slow, or that New Delhi is fast. Both are  working based on their own "Time Zone."

Some one is still single. Someone got married and 'waited' 10 yrs before having a child, there is another who had a baby within a year of marriage.

Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a good job; and there is another who graduated at 27 and secured employment immediately !

Someone became CEO at 25 and died at 50 while another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years.

Everyone works based on their 'Time Zone',

People can have things worked out only according to their pace.
Work in your “time zone”.

Your Colleagues, friends, younger ones might "seem" to go ahead of you.
May be some might "seem" behind you.

Don't envy them or mock them, it's their 'Time Zone.'
You are in yours!

Hold on, be strong, and stay true to yourself. All things shall work together for your good. You’re not late … You are not early ... you’re very much On time!
stay blessed.
You Are In Your Time Zone.... Never give up
